Global cooperation in dignity and fairness
All UN member states decided on 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) which by 2030 should make our planet more attractive and livable for everybody. In the encyclical "Laudato si" Pope Francis appoints crucial issues such as environment and climate protection and the unfair distribution of resources in the world. Measures to alleviate humanitarian distress are described in the agenda for humanity, the 5-point plan of the world summit on humanitarian aid.
Food security, children and the future, humanitarian aid
It seems that with these plans we have come closer to reach the goal to overcome the hunger in the world. But unfair living conditions, the lack of access to education, hunger, poverty, war and the destruction of nature are still part of our reality. Hence, what does it take to sustainably implement the above plans? How do we have to change systems, in order to actually help people out of poverty and give them a perspective? These questions are examined and illuminated in lectures by experts, deepened in sessions and discussed with practitioners of the project work.
The conference is trilingual (German, English, French). Keynotes, discussions and individual sessions are translated simultaneously. The majority of the sessions are in German or English.
